Solution Based Treatment

Solution Based Treatment is a very specific program based on the compilation of information gained from your Biomechanical Assessment. We utilize a combined manual therapy and exercise-based approach to developing a solution to optimize your movement pattern allowing you to get out of pain and into action without provocation of further symptoms. We are in the unique position of providing over 70 years of combined experience between our two therapists. We have treated a lot of patients for a long list of problems across all movement patterns from runners to Cirque Du Soleil performers, from powerlifters to dancers, and baseball pitchers to pole vaulters. We have treated a spectrum of active people and would love to help you execute your very best movement pattern for success in whatever movements you choose.

Manual Therapy

is a specialized area of physical therapy for the management of neuro-musculoskeletal conditions, based on clinical reasoning, using highly specific treatment approaches including manual techniques and therapeutic exercises. Orthopedic manual therapy also encompasses, and is driven by, the available scientific and clinical evidence and is very dependent on the experience and clinical tools that your therapist has gathered in their career experience.

Exercise Based Treatment

is literally a prescription for the exercises required to address your specific deficits in strength, range of motion, balance, breathing, or gait mechanics. Therapeutic exercise involves movement prescribed to correct impairments, restore muscular and skeletal function and/or maintain a state of well-being. Therapeutic exercise is a type of physical activity used to treat or prevent injuries and improve functional outcomes. The scientific evidence demonstrating the beneficial effects of exercise is indisputable, and the benefits of exercise far outweigh the risks in most adults. For most adults, an exercise program including aerobic, resistance, flexibility, balance, and neuromotor exercise training is indispensable to improve and maintain physical fitness and optimize your functional ability.

What is a Biomechanical Assessment, and why do I need one?

Biomechanical Assessment takes a basic human movement—like walking, squatting, lifting, running, or throwing a ball—and breaks it down into precise details in order to identify patterns or areas of deficiency that may result in compensation patterns causing areas of dysfunction and breakdown. Individuals are often unaware of these “faulty” or inefficient movement patterns, which may be invisible to the naked eye, until their therapist captures them during their evaluation. It is almost impossible to generate a solution if the primary or even secondary causes of the problem aren’t properly identified.
