ABOUT US

SRI Physical Therapy is a privately owned outpatient physical therapy clinic that specializes in solution based physical therapy. We focus on high quality individualized patient care to achieve optimal outcomes. To achieve this, our staff emphasizes extensive training in biomechanics, manual therapy techniques, and employs innovative training programs. Evaluation and treatment is individualized to enable each patient to achieve their optimal treatment outcome. All evaluations and treatments are performed by physical therapists and we are careful to maintain continuity of care with the same excellent physical therapist delivering care throughout the course of treatment. As a driving force in biomechanical evaluation and manual therapy treatment, SRI is committed to providing the advanced problem solving and solution based treatment plans each patient requires to return to their optimal function.

Services

These services are the cornerstones of our evaluation and treatment paradigms.

Biomechanical Aanalysis

The Biomechanical Evaluation, as defined and taught by the North American Institute of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy (NAIOMT), is a systematic, reason-based clinical process used to identify the underlying causes of musculoskeletal dysfunction. Unlike a standard orthopedic screen, NAIOMT’s approach emphasizes clinical reasoning and the integration of joint mechanics with neurophysiological factors.

It is designed to move beyond a simple patho-anatomical diagnosis (e.g., "rotator cuff tear") to a "functional diagnosis" that explains why the tissue is failing.

Manual Therapy

Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy is a specialized area of physical therapy for the management of neuromusculoskeletal (NMS) conditions, based on clinical reasoning, using highly specific treatment approaches including manual techniques and therapeutic exercises."

"Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy also encompasses, and is driven by, the available scientific and clinical evidence and the biopsychosocial framework of each individual patient.

Therapeutic Exercise

Prescribing therapeutic exercise is a systematic process designed to improve physical function, maintain health, or prevent disability. It isn't just "working out"—it is a clinical intervention tailored to a patient's specific impairments.

A professional prescription typically follows the FITT-VP principle to ensure safety and efficacy

Active Release Techniques.webp

Active Release Techniques

Active Release Techniques (ART) are a soft tissue method that focuses on relieving tissue tension via the removal of fibrosis/adhesions which can develop in tissues as a result of overload due to repetitive use.

EPAT

Extracorporeal Pulse Activation Technology (EPAT) is a non-invasive, FDA-cleared treatment that uses acoustic pressure waves to stimulate the body’s natural healing processes in injured soft tissues. Often referred to as radial shockwave therapy, it works by increasing blood circulation and metabolism at the site of injury to accelerate tissue regeneration and repair. This office-based procedure is commonly used to treat chronic musculoskeletal conditions, such as plantar fasciitis and tendonitis, without the need for anesthesia or downtime.

Gait Analysis

Gait analysis is the systematic study of human walking that breaks the movement down into the stance phase, where the foot is in contact with the ground, and the swing phase, where the limb advances forward. It involves measuring temporal and spatial parameters such as cadence, step length, and walking speed to identify asymmetries or inefficiencies in the movement pattern. Furthermore, the analysis evaluates kinematics and kinetics, which track joint angles and the forces acting upon the body, respectively, to pinpoint the underlying causes of gait deviations.
